¹³ The woman said, “Why have you planned something like this against the people of God? By his own words the king convicts himself for not returning his own banished one. ¹⁴ We will certainly die. We are like water spilled onto the ground that cannot be gathered up again. But God does not take life. He devises means to restore to himself the one who has been banished. ¹⁵ Now I have come to say this to my lord the king, because the people have made me afraid. Your servant said, ‘I will speak to the king. Perhaps the king will fulfill the request of his servant,
